My yoga practice began as a way to offset a fast paced, high-stress career. As a busy wife and working mom, I rarely took care of myself but found yoga while on a vacation. I began to practice Hot yoga and loved it –particularly the huge surge in my energy levels. Hot Hatha's active moving meditation helped me to sleep better and calm my ever processing, multi-tasking mind.
My family moved to Pullman in 2013. After 20 years, I hung up my power suit and high heels in favor of bare feet on my yoga mat.
I became a 200 Hour RYT certified instructor and founded Sanctuary Yoga, Barre & Dance in 2013. The studio is everything I looked for and could never find. I earned my E- RYT 200 a few years later and serve as lead instructor for our Registered Yoga School (RYS) as well as am a YACEP. Over the years I've added more yoga styles to my practice and now also guide a vigorous Hot Power class for those who like a more active path to zen. I completed a 300 hour course in 2019 and recently became an E-RYT 500.
