Jeff is a full-time instructor, trainer/educator & owner of Flying Beach Yoga with his, partner instructor and wife, Michele. Together they raise two beautiful boys, currently 9 & 13 years old. they also own Kula Yoga Kids, a company that educates instructors and places them in area schools with yoga & mindfulness programs for children— unique and appropriate for each relevant age group. Up-until covid, they, together with their community instructors, also passionately operated a successful After-School program for several consecutive years. Since covid, they have been busy building and online instruction site offering their certified trainings for 200 Hr, Arial, Kids Yoga and Themed Workshops all on-line in a modular training format. They love what they do in exploring new ways to connect relevantly with all ages around the “discussion of yoga”.
Jeff also continues to guide his weekly studio classes at “Kula Yoga Studios” (owned by the Anderson family) where his practice began and has gratefully taught his mid-day classes since 2015.
Jeff has also enjoyed being a professional musician his entire, grateful and blessed adult life and continues to serve as V.P. to a non-profit that gifts instruments to children throughout the USA.
When he isn’t doing those things, he’s enjoying his family in their New Smyrna “island” home with a one-block walk to the beach or inter-coastal. As awesome as he thinks that is, his #1 favorite thing on the planet is taking his family camping in the mountains.
Jeff’s vinyasa flow style at his weekday adult classes offers a balance of guided breath meditation and integration, powerful and deep all-level vinyasa movement and Yin/Nidra meditation. He brings to the experience the aesthetics of his passion for philosophy, world-religion, spirituality and One-ness, art and music.
His class intention is to cultivate easily repeatable practices and ways of being for his students that ground them deeper into their practice and their own transformational space of truth and internal guidance. It is the yoga of relationship-- to source, our selves, each other and all that we experience and create. It is yoga for the community, and every class is a unique and shared journey of inquiry and discovery.
"Although I was already familiar with yogic philosophy, I came to discover the asana, the physical practice, as a middle age male needing to heel spine injuries and 20 years of chronic pain and inflammation. Something just told me to trust the built-in wisdom of the ancient practice. So I did. And I practiced every day and in a couple months I was pain free and my physical body had completely transformed. But I didn't notice that so much, because I was meeting myself for the first time, I was meeting my own guru and that changed everything. So that's my intention-- to create a safe space of connection and community for others to do the same. I'm grateful for our Kula yoga community. It's difficult for me to describe 'what my yoga is'.
