I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS) and over 1,000 hours of teaching time. I currently teach vinyasa flow yoga, gentle hatha, yin and restorative yoga. I've been certified as a Level 1 teacher in Judith Hanson Lasater's "Relax and Renew" restorative yoga training program. I am also trained and certified to provide Ayurvedic face, head, hand and foot massage as a complement to restorative yoga, or while a student is in savasana. I am available for both group and private sessions.  I have also trained with Jason Crandall to fine-tune how I teach vinyasa yoga.  In addition to yoga teacher training, I am also comprehensively certified to for Pilates, so it's not unusual for me to work core movements into yoga sequences.

For me, the joy of teaching is about being able to help others feel healthier and happier in their bodies. I like to connect with yogis in my classes and I try to be conscientious about "reading" the room. Depending on the energy level and ability of the students in my classes, I may change my planned sequence to fit the needs of the class.  I often use humor in my classes and encourage students to relax in the moment and laugh at themselves.

I believe in curating an experience for my classes.  Anyone can watch a yoga video or a live-streamed class.  But practicing in person with an enthusiastic instructor will create an experience to enhance the practice.

I teach at a beginning to intermediate level.
