Rolf Lange
Rolf is a Yoga Alliance 500-hr Registered Yoga Teacher. He received his initial yoga training from the Integrated School of Yoga where he learned to teach Yoga Integral, a free form of yoga that is great for increasing flexibility. It includes variations on poses that access all parts of the body and leave you feeling unblocked and free.
He completed a 500-hr yoga teacher training in the TKV Desikachar / T. Krishnamacharya tradition through the Healing Yoga Foundation. This tradition emphasizes tailoring the yoga practice to accommodate each person and meet them where they are. In this respect, it is a therapeutic form of yoga with great healing potential.
Rolf has also studied Vinyasa Krama Chikitsa, a sequenced progression of asanas that incorporates counter-poses and synchronization of breath throughout the movements. Slow, deliberate, smooth and coordinated breathing connects the body and mind and is central to this style. Chikitsa refers to adapting the asanas to individual needs and therapeutic applications.
Rolf most recently completed a 300-hr yoga teacher training from the Inner Mountain Institute that focused on various tantric meditation techniques in the Sri Vidya tradition. He created a 4-part meditation series for residents at an addiction recovery center and currently teaches evening yoga classes at the Holladay Lions Rec Center in Salt Lake City. He is available for private instruction for individuals and small groups in person and via ZOOM.
