Dr Joanne Avison is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School. Joanne is the Director of Art of Contemporary Yoga Ltd, which runs a YTT200 and YTT300 to provide RYT500 level status on students. 

As author of Yoga Fascia Anatomy & Movement, since 2015, when the book came out, Joanne has taught Fascia and Myofascial Anatomy around the world online in many different schools of yoga - supporting a variety of styles and lineages of yoga. Her profound knowledge of the Fascia Matrix and Myofascial Integration in Yoga is established and her 50-hour online programme is available through Arhantayoga.org. (Yoga Fascia Teacher Training).

Joanne is a Yoga Therapist and her doctorate in Spiritual Science includes the study of Surat Shab'd Yoga (Yoga of the Sound Current) over the last 9 years.  Joanne is also a minister in the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness and incorporates the teachings of Surat Shab'd Yoga in her lively presentations designed to empower others in whatever kind of yoga practice they pursue.
