Yik Man Andrew Marcus Chan is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and a Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT) with Yoga Alliance. His training includes practice and theory in yoga asana, meditation, and yoga philosophy. On the other hand, he received his children's yoga teacher’s training with emphasis on helping kids with Special Educational Need (SEN) such as AD/HD, Autism, sensory integration imbalance and developmental retardation. At the moment, he is learning Svastha Yoga and yoga wellness caring for patients. Meanwhile, he completed his Master degree of Buddhist Studies, focusing to explore meditative experiences in relationship with human mind activities. With the principles, skills and wisdom learnt, he wishes to further support adults and kids in their pursuance of self-balance with joy and peace.
Yoga practice enables Andrew to know himself a lot more from the body and the mind perspectives both respectively and integratively. This journey leads him to explore different styles of yoga nowadays such as Yin/Yang yoga, Toaist Yoga, Mindfulness yoga, Svastha yoga, ISHTA yoga, Forrest yoga and Kundalini yoga so far. In addition to yoga learning, he practices meditation and Aikido regularly.
Andrew's interests are mainly on body/mind training, yoga and buddhist philosophy, classical Sanskrit, Pali, health/diet study, injury handling/caring techniques, artificial intelligence and data science.
