I share my love of yoga in classes that a light-hearted, fun, and functional - focusing on building muscle and bone strength while increasing mobility.
I like for people to feel challenged yet grounded, and fluid yet strong - finding a balance.
Breath is always central to the practice - introspection and reconnection to one's true nature may unfold through practise.
I have regularly practised many forms of Yoga including Ashtanga, hatha, vinyasa, yin, and restorative - utilising many styles to suit my changing needs and circumstances.
I believe Yoga can be utilised to reduce risk of chronic conditions, but also assist in supporting their management - there is published clinical evidence in support of this. This can be done through stimulating muscle and bone growth, increasing joint functioning, improving digestive functioning, and by modulating stress enhancing several body systems including gastrointestinal, immune, endocrine, and nervous systems.
