Teaching is inescapably linked to learning as learning is to teaching. When I teach, I learn. I learn more about myself, others and yoga, thereby deepening my practices and understanding of all. As I learn, I teach more effectively. I firmly believe to be a better teacher, a better yogi or a better person, we must be a better student and never stop learning.
Yoga is more than just a form of exercise. It is an innately spiritual practice and for me, a way of life, on and off the mat. On the mat, yoga is a moving meditation of asana, pranayama, mudra and other practices that unifies mind, body and spirit and brings me into the fullness of my being, the best version of myself. Off the mat, by serving others, yoga is a path to actualizing my True, Authentic Self and realizing my oneness with all that is.
As a yogi, attorney, writer, nature lover and arts & crafts junkie, yoga connects me to all that I am. Learning, teaching and practicing yoga has been truly transformational and life-affirming for me. It is my fondest desire is to share this with others, to guide them on their own personal journey of renewal and self-discovery.
