Hannah Skye Wenzel is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS). Hannah has been teaching full time since 2012, motivated by her belief in the transformative power of movement.
"So may people live their lives in a state of physical discomfort, seeing only the foils and limitations of the body. I came to yoga in my early twenties, while trying to navigate my own health problems. I was scared, and I felt utterly stuck. Through yoga, I learned how to move with ease and how to feel comfortable in my own skin - something I had never felt in my life. Yogic movement helped me to feel creative again. I was able to appreciate my body in all its imperfection. This new acceptance lead to a profound period of personal growth that manifested from the inside out and touched every corner of my life. This transformation was not instantaneous, it came slowly and haltingly with practice. That's why I try to make my classes fun, by including music and unique challenges. I teach every class in a way that is layered so that students are able to customize their experience to be either more challenging, or more grounding based upon their needs. I teach mainly vinyasa yoga with an emphasis on creative transitions so that students can flow successfully into safe alignment."
