Jane Sutherland
MSc and RYT 500 since 2020.
Jane began practising yoga over 15 years ago, initially for the physical practise and stress relief but soon came to realise that yoga is about more than that.
She originally trained as a nurse and practised for nearly 20 years. Always dreaming of being a yoga instructor but she could never find the time with work and thereafter the birth of two boys. Finally on moving to Doha, she got the chance to leave her nursing career behind and focus on what she loved to do, diving head first into a fuller practise within the 8 limbs of yoga.
She completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2017 and completed her 300 hour in 2020 under the guidance of Valerie Jeremijenko, and has also studied with John Scott, Simon Borg, Dylan Werner Stu Girling, Lesley Gray and Adam Keen. Jane also completed a Yoga Shred teacher training course with Sadie Nardini in 2020. She believes that she will always be a student, forever learning new things on my journey through life and has a real passion for Anatomy especially in relation to yoga.
Jane teaches a variety of group yoga classes, but has also gained a lot of experience since she qualified teaching individual yoga sessions. These personal sessions are tailored for each student depending on their wishes and needs. Jane loves the connection and trust that is built between her and her students and believes this is essential for a safe and fulfilling practise.
She loves the physical side of the practise and despite having a dynamic practise, her philosophy is there is no room for ego on the yoga mat. It is about internalizing your own practise, learning to let go, grow, be present, be grateful and just be you! Allowing your own beautiful light to shine through.
