Kristy Van Den Broek, B.A., RCYT, RPYT, E-RYT 200, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga For All trained, Mindfulness Facilitator, Reiki Master, Ayurveda Practitioner, is originally from Canada and is now a resident in the Cayman Islands.

"Yoga helps creates children who are bright lights in this world, increasing their self-awareness and strengthening their bodies. It is also the relationship that is built between the body, the mind and the breath. Yoga creates space free from obstacles in your own body that helps you to move comfortably and competently through life." I am here to help others find this release in a fun and dynamic environment while creating a lifestyle that is Yoga!

I have an extensive background in swimming and fitness. I first discovered yoga on the mat in University where I had a full swimming scholarship and studied Liberal Arts. I always thought yoga would be fun and easy. I also thought it would be something different to add to my training regime with swimming. After a few classes I found out it was NOT as easy as I imagined, and it wasn't benefiting me the way I had imagined. So I stopped my practice. A few years later I thought I would give yoga on the mat another try and this time it stuck! I found the practice to give me a true sense of peace and joy. I discovered that throughout my competitive years as a swimmer I had been unconsciously practicing other aspects of yoga like visualization, meditation and breath work but I never knew it. It took the Asana practice to bring that to light for me.

I've been teaching children in some capacity for decades and after taking my RYT 200 and Yoga for All training's I knew I wanted to teach children's yoga. In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help my students deepen their practice. I seek to help others thrive in life by nurturing their body, mind and soul with yoga, and my hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced. I will always be a student of the practice and am deeply grateful for the loving wisdom my teachers and my students have shared with me.
