Located in Oakland, CA; Michelle is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and credentialed special education teacher who teaches yoga to individuals with special needs in the SF Bay Area. Current offerings include in-person group classes for teens, adults and their families, and a week-long summer yoga camp.
Michelle discovered yoga while recovering from a motorcycle accident in the early 2000's, and first became certified to teach Hatha and Ashtanga at the Association for Yoga and Meditation (located in Rishikesh, India) in the summer of 2016. In May of 2017, she completed a specialized training in yoga for children with special needs through Asanas For Autism (Located in San Diego, California), and in 2020 Michelle completed coursework in Yin Yoga through Arhanta Ashram (Located in Bansarai, India).
Michelle has over 7 years of experience teaching yoga to special populations in camp, group home, and studio settings.
Currently, she teaches indoor yoga classes for Adolescents, teens and adults with special needs in Alameda and Oakland.
