Alison Heilig is an E-RYT200, RYT500, YACEP, and a Yoga Medicine™ Therapeutic Yoga Specialist. Her extensive knowledge in anatomy, exercise physiology, and sports medicine as well as the ability to make complex subjects easier to digest, Alison is a visiting guest YTT lecturer on a variety of topics in anatomy and movement science.
In addition to teaching yoga, Alison is a Level 2 RRCA-Certified Running Coach and is a certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Nutrition Coach, and Women's Fitness Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Alison blends mobility, recovery, strength-building, and therapeutic practices in order to get people back to doing what they love and creating a more sustainable way to engage with movement and physical activity to keep people running well for years to come.
Her book, The Durable Runner, combines corrective exercise, self-myofascial release, and yoga to help runners develop a solid training strategy to remain physically and mentally durable. She is currently working on her second book, tentatively titled Durability.
