I'm an RYT200 Hatha Yoga Instructor, Poetry Editor for and a Co-founder of Requited Journal for Innovative Art, and a Writing Instructor at Loyola University Chicago. I favor hatha style asana so each student has the time to find optimal alignment for his or her body. I am currently working toward her 500-hour certification at Moksha Yoga Center. I have received grants for her writing from the Illinois Arts Council, Vermont Studio Center, and the City of Chicago; my poems won honorable mention in the 2013 Split This Rock Competition judged by Mark Doty and the 2005 Student Poetry Competition at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I earned my MFA.
