Through the last 22 years of life’s challenges and successes, yoga has helped me get closer to the peace inside myself. I teach yoga to help others know their own peace. Stretching out our bodies and flowing gracefully and humbly together, with intention, is so lovely! As a teacher, I offer a lighthearted, thematic practice to create warm, happy vibes that resonate. My classes include mindful asana, pranayama, and meditation, with a focus on softness and fluidity. I encourage students to be open, gentle, playful, and to deeply love and care for themselves on and off of the mat.
I study, practice, and teach: Gentle Hatha, Vinyasa, Slow Flow, Restorative, Yoga + Nature Walks, Chakra yoga, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, teachings of Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati (Ramamurti S. Mishra, M.D.), teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, and open-mindedness and universal love. My teaching is greatly influenced by Tantric philosophies, as well as Anusara yoga, ParaYoga, and all of my experiences in the world. I am a museum educator, art historian, mother of a sweet (and opinionated) toddler, and lover of dancing and nature – I incorporate aspects of these passions into my classes. I hope to influence others to connect their body, breath, mind, and heart through yoga. I want everyone to feel good, all the time. That is why I teach yoga.
In 2015-16, I earned my 200 hour RYT certification from Yoga Illumined in Austin, TX. I earned CE credits while training with Zoe Mantarakis in 2017.
