Sarah is a graduate of Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, with a double minor in English and Hisory. As a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, she quickly realized that her passion for guiding and teaching others extended far beyond the traditional classroom.
After University, Sarah continued to pursue various teaching related certifications in the health and wellness field. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT-500), Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, Can-Fit Pro Personal Training Specialist, Certified Mat Pilates Instructor, Pre/Post Natal Specialist, an Esthetician, and a Certified Reiki Master Practitioner. She is also certified in EFFT (Emotion Focused Family Therapy), TRX for Yoga, Trauma Yoga, 100hr Yin/Restorative Training, Pilates Vertical Repertoire, Pranayama Techniques, Meditation, and the doTERRA AromaTouch® Technique.
Sarah is currently the co-owner of The Healing Loft Inc., a multidisciplinary Wellness Center & Yoga Studio in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Having earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education prior to becoming a yoga teacher, Sarah has honed her teaching skills to perfection. She has a deep understanding of how people learn and strives to create effective, accessible classes that cater to students of all levels and abilities. Her passion for teaching extends beyond guiding students on the mat; she finds immense joy and expertise in creating curriculum, and she is confident in her ability to create and deliver high quality curriculum. Drawing on her background in Education, she skillfully crafts well-structured and engaging lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of her students. Whether it's designing specialized workshops, corporate wellness programs, or comprehensive yoga teacher training modules, Sarah's curriculum reflects her commitment to excellence and her deep understanding of effective teaching methodologies. She has led numerous wellness workshops, retreats in Northern Ontario, and she has also created and delivered curriculum for multiple corporate wellness programs/businesses, as well as post-secondary educational institutions.
Sarah's teaching style is grounded in mindfulness and self-awareness, encouraging students to listen to their bodies and honour their own unique needs and limitations. Sarah's gentle yet powerful guidance and support will help students of all levels to deepen their practice and experience the transformational benefits of yoga. Her positive and uplifting energy creates a safe and inclusive space for students of all levels and abilities to explore their practice.
Sarah believes that yoga is not just about physical practice, but a way of living that can transform you from the inside out. Her classes and trainings are designed to help students of all levels cultivate physical strength, mental clarity, and emotional resilience. Sarah’s goal is to empower her students to live, breathe and move more mindfully both on and off the mat.
