In the seventies I was dancing ballet and teaching in a minor company. I picked up "Light on yoga", by Iyengar and it changed my life! The dancers and I would copy the poses because we had the flexibility to do so, but as I went deeper into this, yogas inside journey took effect on me.
I lived on Maui in the eighties and became a pro-windsurfer after some dance injuries. Yoga stuck with me there too. I taught classes on Maui in an old house that had no furniture off and on for a few years. I was also teaching people to windsurf.
I live in Marin county CA. and own a boutique called , "Gioia". I teach part time as a substitute yoga instructor and have a regular job teaching seniors once a week~
I salute my teachers past and present. My biggest influences are Sienna Smith and Djuna Mascal, Alison Smith, Peggy Orr, Janice Gates, Sean Haleen, Christina Sell and many more. My 500 hours were with Djuna and Sienna.
I teach mixed level yoga 1-3, gentle yoga, restorative, chair for seniors.
