I started practicing yoga after the birth of my son, mainly as a physical practice to build strength. I was drawn to Hatha yoga because it was very fulfilling to my active lifestyle. I find yoga healing and meditative especially after experiencing some health related setbacks in my life. I am a kinesthetic learner and the feel of the movement is often described in my grounding and foundational based teaching style. I started teaching children’s yoga and took my teacher training through Rainbow Kids Yoga in 2013. I pursued my 200 Hour Teacher Training certification through Breathe Yoga in 2015. Throughout my career as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist I have worked with children, adolescent youth, adults in rehabilitation and the elderly. Loved it all. Currently, you will find me instructing at the local YMCAs of Greater Rochester and Community Based yoga studios. I enjoy teaching both an active/vinyasa flow and gentle/slow flow yoga.
