I began practicing yoga in 2010 as a form of physical fitness, and was drawn to the practice, by the strong physical and mental release that I experienced during and after a yoga class. I was inspired to learn more about yoga and how I could incorporate in into my own life, and use it as a tool to help others.
In 2015, I graduated from the RYT 200 Hatha Yoga Teacher Training program at Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ont. My teacher, Tracey Eccleston of Ageless Arts (Yoga Alliance approved school), teaches her students that "yoga is for everybody and every body".
I am proud to be a certified Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga Teacher (LCCYT). In this style, I teach chair/accessible yoga classes to students, where regardless of their age, levels of activity or physical health challenge they are able to fully participate in a supportive and safe yoga class.
I have studied under teachers such as Seane Corne, Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman Yee, Marla Erickson and Rod Stryker.
