I found yoga when I was 30 years or so. Previously my training had been in theatre and performing arts. Dance and movement had always been an important part of my life but with yoga I found a balance that changed my whole outlook. Yoga allowed me to develop the physical uplifting aspects of movement that I love with a non competitiveness, no judgement sense of compassion and nurturing that I love just as much. It was a natural progression for me to want to share my practice and so I trained with Zenways.org and became a Zen Yoga teacher. Zen yoga is a gentle approach to yoga drawing from practices such as Taoist Yoga and Hatha Yoga and combining those disciplines with therapeutic elements of traditional Chinese practices. The overall experience is a life enhancing exploration. Zen Yoga also helps to bring mindfulness into your daily life... and there's another big and wonderful subject that is waiting for you to explore.
