Karuna means compassion and is the foundation of my approach to yoga.
Gentle yoga does not necessarily mean "easy" yoga -- your gentle yoga practice can be physically and mentally challenging. I believe all yoga should be done with compassion and respect for your "today" body, mind and spirit. Find, and accept with gratitude, your best practice for today.
My key elements for practice -- Slow down. Keep it simple. Have fun.
Whether I'm teaching a gentle hatha yoga class, a sport specialty yoga class for golfers, a yoga and relaxation class for teens, elementary aged children or a story time yoga class for preschoolers, these elements are woven throughout the practice.
Inspiration is everywhere and I learn something new from every yoga student I encounter.
