Being able to direct her anwareness inwards and outwards at the same time, this simultaneous feeling has allowed Monika to find her spiritual home in yoga. For her, yoga is the quintessence.

Monika started teaching yoga in 2013 and has been teaching several classes a week at ATHAYOGA since 2016. She is E-RYT®️ 500h/ YACEP®️ certified through Yoga Alliance®️ and has studied contemplative methods of meditation, pranayama and Satyananda Yoga Nidra according to the tradition of the Bihar School of Yoga. Learning and further education is an elementary need for Monika, she expands herself with trainings in different specialities or the study of philosophical contents and systems of yoga science via a Wired Campus.

As a result, Monika is both a teacher and a student. These simultaneous perspectives keep her horizons wide open and enable her to better understand the connections and relationships between different areas and to teach them in a cross-linked way.

She believes in an undogmatic and contemporary yoga that combines modern knowledge with proven tradition.

As a teacher, she is passionate about different levels of intensity and her signature style is her own Joyflow. She teaches Dynamic Flows with passion and ease and Yoga Nidra with deep devotion and dedication. In her unconventional classes, she emphasises focus, rhythm, breathing, commitment, pauses and actively holding positions. She guides breathing and meditation exercises in a natural way and encourages participants to take more responsibility for themselves. Mindfulness belongs to the inner experience in Monika's classes, the expansion of energy and the expansion of awareness in order to find more energy, clarity and insight.

Monika believes in the possibilities of personal development and brings this substance and philosophical depth to her classes, with thoughtfulness, intuition and joy.

She teaches her classes in German and English.
