Sudeepta is the co-founder of Eka Meditation. She began her yoga journey in her early teens exploring the asana practice. Over the years Sudeepta's learning journey has guided her to meditation and pranayama. She is a mother to energetic twin boys who help her appreciate the practice of sitting in stillness. She completed the 200 and 300 hr trainings at Yoga Alliance certified Charm CityYoga Studio in Baltimore under the guidance of Kim Manfredi who has herself studied under several traditions in India.
Sudeepta uses her previous careers as a bio-mechanical researcher, engineer and business analyst to understand and address the needs of people who sit at desks through the day, and who deal with the stress of deadlines, delivery dates and round the clock support calls. She teaches multi-level group classes as well as one-one classes that focus on the mind-body-breath connection. She offers modifications, props and assists when needed to provide students a safe yet challenging space to practice in.
Sudeepta is a Yoga Alliance certified ERYT500 teacher who has completed Level 1 and 2 training in yoga for special needs through Prafull Oorja, 200 hr training in Yoga Nidra, 100 hr Yoga Therapy, Sequencing with Jason Crandell, Yin Yoga with 5 Elements etc. She has also trained under Heather Brown for prenatal yoga and teaches it to expectant mothers
on a 1 on 1 basis.
