Melissa found yoga through a group of trail running-friends nearly a decade ago. The first class she ever experienced was a power vinyasa. The pure bliss she felt in the last posture
(savasana), a reward of working hard and exploring something that was way outside of her comfort zone was exhilarating and yet peaceful. This sparked her desire to immerse herself in
yoga and to allow it to become a way of life, rather than just a class. Her favorite part of practicing and teaching yoga is the playful exploration of both yin and yang. Putting in effort and
allowing for ease results in the delightful discovery of balance. Her classes focus on creating a
connection between movement and breath, while honoring healthy and safe body alignment.
