I've been practicing yoga since 2004 and have experienced diffierent traditions and styles of yoga, including classical hatha, Iyengar, Jivamukti, Ashtanga, vinyasa and modern dynamic flow. I completed my teacher training with Sun Power Yoga in 2011.
In 2013 I undertook a 12 month study programme with Energy Yoga School to qualify as a Seasonal Energy Teacher. This programme combines the practice of hatha yoga (asana, pranayama, meditation and yoga nidra) with the traditional Eastern views of the body and it's energy systems. Asana, pranayama and mental focus assist the smooth flow of prana through out bodies and work to rebalance our energies.
Balance is the key to well-being. My classes combine breathwork practice, surya namaskar to warm and energise, asana sequences focusing on the energy of the season followed by quiet, restorative postures to prepare for savasana to complete the practice.
