Christie’s yoga journey began at the age of 9 in the hippie community of Hornby Island, Canada. Christie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Kinesiology from the University of Calgary where she studied Anatomy, Biomechanics and choreography. As a professional dancer Christie studied various yoga techniques including Hatha, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Bikram and Jivamukti. Following an injury in 2012, Christie began her education as a private trainer in the Gyrotonic Method working as an apprentice in Bad Krözingen and later in a physiotherapy clinic in Berlin, Germany. She went on to become a registered yoga teacher learning from teachers including Christine Price Clark and Daniel Clement in Vancouver, Canada. She has since worked as a teacher and coach and has offered various classes and workshops in yoga, and dance studios in Switzerland and abroad. She currently offers fascia based therapies including shock wave and kinesio taping at WinOrtho clinic Winterthur.
