DeAnna Shires, M.Ed. E-RYT 500, Owner and Director of Breath Into Awareness, draws from her previous career as a Special Education teacher in creating a multi-stage approach to breaking down asana with awareness thus making asana approachable, safe, and exciting for both the beginner and the advanced practitioner. In 2005, DeAnna created the “Breathe Into Recovery” program for those working through addiction and is a strong believer of Yoga for Emotional Recovery and Freedom which is evident in her teaching. In addition to asana, DeAnna incorporates Ayurveda, Psychology of the Energy Body, Pranayama, Meditation into her classes for a holistic yoga experience. Her playful spirit encourages laughter, exploration, and the freedom to "Be". In addition to teaching group and private classes, DeAnna offers Reiki (Master Level), Vedic Astrology, and Spiritual Life Coaching with a Nueroscience approach with training through Dr. Jayne Gardner of the The Gardner Institute. Since beginning her personal yoga journey in 1993, DeAnna's most influential teachers have been Karen Prior, E-RYT 500 of N2Yoga, Jill Kline for Reiki, & Dr. David Frawley, Director of the American Institute of Vedic Studies
