My journey with yoga began in 1999 in the jungle of Nosara Costa Rica. My first teacher, Amba Stapleton inspired me to not only explore yoga for myself but influenced me to teach yoga upon completing my 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certification through the Nosara Yoga Institute. I have since taught adult, children and teen yoga as a 500 hr E-RYT registered yoga teacher and a RCYT with the Yoga Alliance. I have assisted, program managed and am currently Directing my own teacher training module for Nosara Yoga Institute 1000 hour training and my own Kids to Teens Yoga School.
I was drawn to the practice of Kundalini Yoga and completed level one, all five level 2, and 21 Stages of Meditation in Kundalini Yoga. Kundalini Yoga is my personal daily practice. I am a member of the Aquarian Teacher Academy and teach modules during the level one Kundalini Teacher Training Course at Yoga West Los Angeles with Guru Singh as my mentor and lead trainer. I continue to teach adult, kids, teen, pre-natal, and restorative yoga as well as Kundalini Yoga.
I absolutely love inspiring others and guiding them in their practice. As a busy mother of 5 and an elementary school teacher in Manhattan Beach Unified School District, I have been able to rely upon my practice to find peace and harmony in my day to day life. I am also the proud grandmother of 3 grand children whom fill my days with so much love and light. My life is so full and my thirst for knowledge keeps me on this path of discovery and growth still today.
Starting a new adventure with two humans that inspire me, we formed the Yoga Collective Nosara. The Yoga Collective is a collective of yoga educators who have come together to create a unique, foundational 200 hour yoga teacher training. The collective has an interdisciplinary / vinyasa based approach with a focus on traditional yogic philosophy to training teachers.
