Described by Yoga Journal as "the teacher's teacher," Mark Stephens (E-RYT 500) is the author of the international bestsellers Teaching Yoga (2010), Yoga Sequencing (2012), and Yoga Adjustments (2014).
Practicing yoga for over 25 years and teaching for over 20 years, Mark has trained over 2,000 yoga teachers worldwide. He founded Yoga Inside Foundation (1997-2005), a non-profit that established yoga programs in over 300 schools, rehab centers and prisons across North America and received Yoga Journal's 1st Annual Karma Award in 2000 for his leadership with Yoga Inside for this service.
With a rich background in Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, Vinyasa Flow, and Tantra, Mark brings an eclectic perspective to the practice that's all about making yoga more accessible, sustainable, and deeply transformational. He lives and teaches yoga in Santa Cruz, California
