I have always loved movement and was already teaching many formats of fitness classes, so I began teaching yoga asana shortly after I formally started my yoga teacher training in 2000.  My students and I were in awe of the graceful strength and powerful calm, among other benefits, that came from practicing regularly.  I studied several styles of yoga and experimented with different teacher training programs before settling into the YogaFit program which was a perfect match for my love of fitness and my growing love of yoga.  Over the next few years I completed my RYT200, studied briefly in India, taught teacher training workshops for YogaFit, completed my RYT500, taught asana classes, private sessions, university courses, and continued to teach YogaFit teacher training courses internationally.  I also completed several Ayurveda trainings from the Vedic Institute. During this process I was very drawn to the connection between yoga philosophy and how recent scientific research efforts have described our energy systems and consciousness. I've concentrated my personal study to learn, unlearn, and sometimes relearn concepts that have become my guiding principles for a joyous, love-filled existence. As a C-IAYT, it is my heart’s desire to share these amazing yoga tools with others and to always continue to grow and learn.
