Ashley Rideaux is a Los Angeles based, 500 E-RYT YogaWorks Certified Teacher Trainer. In addition to the strong following she has built in LA, she also leads trainings, workshops, and retreats all over the world.
She was first introduced to yoga while studying acting at SMU's Meadows School of the Arts. It was during these 4 years of movement classes and breathing exercises that she found herself drawn to the practice. After graduating she worked as an actress, performing in regional theaters throughout the country. Somehow, everywhere she worked she was housed with a yoga instructor, or near a yoga studio. Basically, yoga was stalking her for years ;-).
After settling in LA, she began practicing at YogaWorks, and was fortunate to receive a scholarship to take a 200hr teacher training with Jeanne Heileman and Carmen Fitzgibbon. Ashley taught her first class a week after finishing her first training, and hasn't stopped since! She went on to apprentice Jeanne Heileman for 6 months as part of the YogaWorks 300hr Professional Program, and after assisting several trainings, she now leads 200-Hr Teacher Trainings for YogaWorks, and is a mentor in the 500-Hr Professional Program.
Ashley's classes are challenging and playful, ranging from therapeutic work to advanced vinyasa flow. She has experience working with seniors with neurological disorders, clients with eating disorders, and has also been the featured yoga instructor for NBA player, Jordan Farmar's, Hoop Farm basketball camp for the past 4 years. She is an brand ambassador for Lululemon Athletica and has been featured in yoga ad campaigns in Yoga Journal, LA Yoga, and Om Yoga Magazine. All of her classes are a balance of the physical and the philosophical, inviting the body and mind to unfold through her detail to alignment, breath, and meditation.
