Natasha Korshak is a long time teacher of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness- she is also an ordained Interfaith Minister and a Vedic Astrologer.

Natasha has been practicing yoga formally since 1987 and has been blessed with many great teachers and opportunities to earn her livelihood as a teacher and trainer.  Her approach to asana is gentle and integrated.  Gentle, meaning that we practice relaxing within the effort; and integrated, meaning that movement, breath, and meditation are interconnected.  Her deepest desire as a teacher is to convey the essence of yoga through simple, awareness based practice.

Natasha has taught in a wide variety of settings and has worked with people from all over the world.  She worked at the Southern Arizona Cancer Care Center for 3 years, where she helped create holistic programs that complemented conventional cancer care.  For 15 years she worked at Miraval Life in Balance in Catalina, Arizona where she managed the yoga and meditation programs and was Director of Mindfulness Education.  In the Tucson community, she contributed to the launching of the Mindful Veterans Project serving area veterans and their families dealing with stress and trauma.

Natasha carries the highest level of yoga training certification via the National Yoga Alliance, and is a graduate of the American College of Vedic Astrology.   In addition to her yoga training, Natasha is a graduate of the Interfaith Theological Seminary, has done extensive professional training with the Center for Mindfulness and the Integrative Restoration Institute, and has special training in grief processing.  She is the owner and director of the Sol Center: A Body, Mind, Spirit Learning Community dedicated to furthering the application of contemplative wisdom in the world.

Personal Teaching Philosophy:

My primary teacher Rama Jyoti Vernon said thousands of things that I have taken to heart.  Foremost is her assertion that teaching yoga is a privilege rather than a profession.  I am privileged to have learned yoga from a master, I am privileged to teach yoga to those who cross my path.

I hold the belief that awakening and transformation can happen at any moment, and that formal yoga practice accelerated the process.  The manner I teach is best described as meditative, mindful, integrative, careful, articulate, breath-oriented, and heart-centered.

I am interested in the dynamic zone between relaxation and effort, attention and flow, discriminative thought and pure presence.  I believe it is in these zones that energy, prana, and light are accessed and assimilated into our physical body and consciousness in beneficial ways.

Yoga teaches that wisdom is within and that wholeness is our ground of being.  My intention is to simply, skillfully, artfully, joyfully, humbly guide people to their own realization of these truths.
