Yoga Sanctuary Academy formerly, The Yoga Sanctuary has been successfully training students to become yoga teachers since 2001. Our teacher training programs are constantly evolving to ensure we maintain verifiable standards of excellence, with expert teachers, diverse students, community and tradition. Yoga Sanctuary Academy is a Certified Private Educational Institute and all of our teacher training programs are recognized by the Canadian federal government. Students have two added bonuses, one (1) not having to pay HST on any of the teacher training courses and two (2), successful graduates are eligible to receive an official education tuition fee receipt for income tax purposes.

All of our teacher training courses are offered in hybrid style, either in-person or online.  We offer courses for those starting out their career in yoga, as well as for intermediate and advanced practitioners alike.

Our 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training will be your foundation, you will graduate being comfortable to lead classes in Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga.

The 300 hr teacher training, includes modules in  Yin Yoga,  Restorative Yoga,  Kids to Teens Yoga,  Pre Natal Yoga,  Adapting Yoga,  Mudras and Sequencing,  Vinyasa Sequencing,  Trauma Informed Yoga for Mental Well-Being,  HypnoZen Yoga,  Chanting and Mantras. Modules can be taken individually and build up the hours to graduate with your 300 hr YTT.
