Our Yoga Alliance certified teacher training programs have been created to align with Breathe's core values of "yoga for everyone".  Whether you've always dreamed of becoming a yoga teacher or simply want to deepen your own personal practice, we have a training to suit your needs.

THE BREATHE METHOD

Upon graduating from this 200-Hour teacher training, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the subtle science of asana, pranayama, mantra, meditation, and philosophy.  You will gain confidence through experience by beginning to teach on Day One in a safe and supportive group so that you are ready to lead students the day you graduate.  You will have two facilitators to ensure quality instruction and plenty of one-on-one attention. You will also be provided with one-on-one business mentoring and business structuring. 

This program includes:
- education in a wide variety of styles including vinyasa, Hatha, yin, restorative, meditation & pre-natal
- anatomy and biomechanics of the physical body in relation to yoga posture refinement and enhancement
- anatomy of the subtle energy body and chakra system - practice & theory
- exploration of yogic and tantric philosophy
- effective teaching & sequencing methodology
- one-on-one business mentoring & business restructuring

This training is offered as follows:
- Fall/Winter: Saturdays and Sundays, one weekend per month, from September-April
- Summer Intensive: Saturdays and Sundays, one weekend per month, from May-August, plus a 7-day intensive in August

THE ADJUSTER METHOD

If you have completed a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training and want to expand your teaching abilities, this is the next step.

Our continuing education Adjuster Method teacher training is designed to give you the confidence and knowledge to provide your students with both verbal and physical adjustments.  Through both workshop hours and contact hours, you will learn:

- Correct break-down of postural alignment
- Safe adjustment techniques
- Verbal corrections and modifications
- Supportive assisting skills
- Self, spatial and energetic awareness


THE YIN METHOD

Our 25-Hour Yin Method training qualifies for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education credits and all attendees will be issued a certificate of completion.

Yin yoga consists of longer postural holds breath work, meditation and controlled movement. A consistent Yin practice will assist with the release of areas of the body that tend to be more dense and restricted such as connective tissues, joints and ligaments.

In this program you will learn:
- introduction to yin philosophy, related principles and benefits
- the difference between yin and yang and how to move energy throughout the body
- how to integrate mindfulness into a yin practice through self-inquiry exercises
- the most common yin postures and their proper alignment how to effectively utilize appropriate props
- how to give safe and effective adjustments
- how to effectively design classes

The Yin Method is a weekend intensive suitable for all levels of teachers and students who wish to learn how to integrate yin into their yoga practice.


THE PRENATAL METHOD

Our 85-Hour Prenatal Method training is designed to give you all the tools and techniques necessary to safely and effectively guide your students through their entire pregnancy, during labour and after the arrival of baby.

As a registered prenatal yoga teacher (RPYT), it is important that your students feel confident, safe and supported during this sacred time in their lives.  In this training, we will cover:

- The subtle nuances of teaching pre and postnatal asana;
- Save movement and modifications throughout the trimesters, during labour and after;
- How to gain the trust of and foster emotional support for your students;
- Exercises to aid in the safe recovery of the pelvic floor;
- Relaxation, meditation and pranayama techniques.

This training is open to all yoga teachers, midwives, doulas, nurses or anyone else looking to deepen their understanding of the physical and emotional connection between yoga and childbirth.
