Our name, Yoga 216, comes from a passage in Patangali’s Yoga Sutas which translates to ‘Pain which has not yet come is avoidable.’ Basic physics — bodies in motion stay in motion. Our bodies need activity to be able to stay active, or one day, they won’t be able to move efficiently. Repetitive stress comes in many forms, from sitting or standing all day, typing, hunching, even your mood. Yoga 216 gives you a chance to move your body and mind to keep them limber and strong forever.
Our aim is to lead you through a better class — every time. 216’s semi-private yoga classes have a maximum of 6 students, so each of our passionate, certified teachers has the time to guide, adjust and challenge you in a safe and productive way. In this supportive and encouraging environment your physical limitations will be heard and your practice will develop in leaps and bounds. You will master poses you never thought possible!
