About Our Studio:
At Yoga Vini, overlooking the banks of the holy Ganga River and nestled in the heart of Rishikesh, India (otherwise known as the ‘yoga capital’ of the world), we aim to create a tranquil environment for you to pursue yoga.
Our Philosophy:
We believe that the pursuit the yogic path is a lifelong journey and commitment. Yoga Vini emphasizes that the practice of yoga is not about destinations or the completion of postures, but rather the journey we take as we learn to turn a physical posture into a true yogic posture. And so, utmost attention is given to the specific details and alignments found within each one. This enables you to receive their maximum benefit and experience them as they were intended to be. More than just an exercise, more than just flexibility, more than just looking good on a yoga mat; yoga is a tool to help us find the harmony and balance that we are looking for in life.
Our Approach:
We offer a combination of daily drop in classes, yoga workshops and yoga teacher training courses, to suit your needs and time schedule. Yoga Vini classes meet you at your level of ability – beginner, intermediate or advanced – and then our teachers help you get more out of each pose. We do this through careful explanations and gentle and specific adjustments. Often, we suggest seemingly small adjustments but these can make a big difference in your practice. We don’t force poses; rather, we assist, encourage, and support you all along the way. Many students have found our adjustments to be be very helpful.
Our Style:
We offer great techniques and simple tips that are well-explained and easy to understand. All eight limbs of yoga are encouraged and supported. Each class concludes with a gentle and very gentle massage allowing for a deep relaxation.
Spirituality and Yoga:
These definitely go together. In this rich spiritual atmosphere of Rishikesh and on the banks of the sacred Ganges, we give helpful teachings and discussions about yoga`s profound philosophical and spiritual basis along with heart-expanding bhajans and kirtans.
