Dedicated to a tradition of excellence in teaching for more than 40 years, the Himalayan Institute, founder of Yoga International, offers yoga teachers comprehensive and systematic training in classical yoga. We teach yogic techniques for body, breath, mind, and spirit in 200-hour and 300-hour certification programs. Our programs include meditation, asana instruction, training in pranayama and relaxation techniques, and yoga philosophy and psychology. The Himalayan Institute is a registered school with Yoga Alliance, meeting the requirement for national registration.

Joining Himalayan Institute Buffalo for the 200hr YTT program was one of the best decisions I have made. The teachers especially Julia, Sarah and Kerry were experienced, patient with the students and respectful of the yoga traditions. Full Review

The teachers and breadth of the 200 training covers all information and techniques necessary to begin teaching. Rolf Sovik is an exceptional teacher with a beautiful mind which he shares generously. It has been almost 10 years since I graduated from their program and I still reference them in my memory as well as reference their training workbook. Highly recommend as a solid, basic ground for teacher training from which to expand. Full Review
