The YogaLife Institute is the premier destination for Yoga Teacher Training in the Philadelphia area. Located in Wayne, PA, near the King of Prussia Wegman's. We have trained Yoga Teachers since 1995 and have 1000+ program graduates who are teaching Yoga all over the world!
The yoga programs are meant to foster personal growth and help students develop a greater understanding of Yoga practices and theory. Half of the members of teacher training go on to teach yoga while the other half join simply to expand their personal understanding of Yoga.
The YogaLife training program connects Yogic concepts to daily living so that you can be at your best through the stresses and challenges of modern life. The language, concepts and applications are clear and accessible to beginner and advanced students alike. Yoga is a theory-practice continuum. Theory remains gray without practice, and to help students practice meaningfully, we teach the theory behind what we are doing – not merely anatomy and physiology but also the spiritual-philosophical underpinning of Yoga.
The 250hr program is one year long, and the 500hr program is two years long, with flexible scheduling options that allow students to integrate the knowledge they are gaining as they go. We also offer an intensive version of the 500hr program, which is offered in a 10 month format. The community is well-established and full of supportive and knowledge teachers who bring a variety of perspectives and practices into the student experience.
Our approach to asana includes a clear understanding of the subtle body psychology and personal experience of the internal work of Yoga poses. Adaptive asana practices are based tailoring practices to meet individual and group needs are studied alongside basic biomechanics and injury prevention. The subtle arts of teaching methodology are emphasized and students are opportunities to get practical teaching experience and peer feedback.
