Soul Space is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance, which designates this teacher training program as one which follows Yoga Alliance’s standards. Students who complete a verified training with this school may be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs).
Soul Space is a sunny studio in the riverside town of Carrick-on-Shannon, two hours from Dublin, and central to the West, North and Midlands of Ireland, open since 2015.
The YTT will take place over weekends, and give students a chance to teach in the studio upon the completion of the course, and receive mentorship over the year+ following.
This course is run by Michele Spence McGarry, who unlike many in the industry, was never a dancer, gymnast, or even an athlete. In fact, she was the opposite-- an artsy bookworm. She was introduced to yoga in her late teens, after an injury, and just kept coming back to it over the years. As the aches and pains of adulthood kicked in, Michele mostly returned for release of stress and tension in the body... but found so much more. She has trained in the US, Ireland, Scotland and India, and considers herself a lifetime student.
