Located in green and serene surroundings, overlooking the Anandvan forest, Samsara The Yoga Studio  is a venture by Shama Rana (See Teacher Profile). It is ideal place for a complete holistic healing experience to calm your senses and feel integrated in body-mind-spirit.

We offer all kinds of Yoga, like Ashtanga yoga, Hatha Yoga,  Vinyasa yoga, Yoga with Props, Anti-gravity Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Acro yoga, Partner Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation as part of our routine yoga classes so you do not have to join separate batches for it. Come for a session and you will be surprised with something new every time, educating you to embark on a yogic way of living.

The USP of Samsara is that we are able to customize the program based on your individual strengths and weaknesses after fitness and health assessment and detailed history taking and if required blood tests for preventive maintenance of health for assessment of Nutritional deficiencies (optional paid facility).  Since we work in small groups of 15-20 people every individual get personal attention. We build on your strength, flexibility, endurance, creating breath awareness, teach you stress management techniques. Also on offer is Rope and belt Yoga for pain management for addressing musculo-skeletal disorders. Separate Meditation batches besides our Yoga for health batches. Samsara offers a complete package to fulfil all your fitness, health and wellness goals helping you lead a balanced life.

The 200-hour program is designed to be aligned with the requirements of the 200-Hour Standards of Yoga Alliance. It has a comprehensive curriculum which is currently delivered to small groups of around 5 trainees for around 20 hours every week and over a 2 to 3 month period. This format allows us to give individual attention to students and also gives time to the trainees to reflect on the concepts taught, for personal practice and also to clarify their doubts. This helps them understand the concepts and practices more deeply by the time they finish the program. It gives them a lot of confidence to begin conducting their yoga classes without hesitation. Immersive Programs of one month intensive ( 8 hours a day) RYT200 training program is also available.

The Conceptual Learning of our 200 Hour training program equips the trainees with knowledge and techniques to educate their students and guide them to work on their physical, and mental/emotional levels ensuring their participation and engagement. The teachers trained by us are able to teach Yoga to all categories of people, regardless of whether they are strong and flexible, beginner or advanced or special population. Samsara Teacher training program lays a strong emphasis on the Application of the Principles of Yoga Philosophy – Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Human Anatomy, Physiology, Pranayama, Meditation, Yogic diet for the modern man to learn all about holistic living. Yoga is an individual’s journey, yet our teacher trainees are trained to not only focus on their individual growth but help their students grow as well bringing in a change in their perception and outlook towards their life’s goals. I believe that one uniqueness of our training program is also that our teachers are trained with a view to making Yoga available to everybody.

During the lectures, there is an emphasis on the applied aspects, which guides the overall training environment in the studio. The emphasis is on introducing the teacher trainees to all Classical Postures/Asanas and Surya Namaskars and are expected to practice as they begin their program. Trainees are required to practice these aspects of every pose, are encouraged to stay focused with attention deep within oneself in that pose.

The trainees develop a keen eye to observe and assess the current posture, gait, strength, endurance and flexibility of their students and apply their knowledge of anatomy and teach them to increase their range of motion gradually in a safe manner by practicing the various asanas. They are able to observe and assess the breathing patterns and teach techniques accordingly. Our trainees are able to not just take a group class but are also able to customize the classes, designing sequence of asanas, pranayamas, meditation techniques based on the individual’s needs. The trainees start appreciating the beauty of Yoga and start applying it in their lives, bringing about a profound change in their personality (as has been expressed by many of them in their testimonials).

Warm regards,
Shama Rana
