Matrika Yoga School & Meditative Arts was founded by Pablo Ferrero in Canada in 2012. Nowadays we are based in Sierra de Madrid, Spain. Where we have our main School and healing center. We teach trainings and retreats in Spain, Mexico and India. Apart from being an active part in promoting Yoga and other healing disciplines in the mountains of Madrid, our school is involved with environmental activism. We are the founders of the NGO Restaura Madre Tierra, in which we are restoring the Sierra de Madrid and investigating different ways to preserve the water reserves of the Sierra de Madrid. 

We have a holistic approach of the practice of Yoga integrating the teachings of BKS Iyengar, Krishnamacharya and the Bihar School of Yoga (Satyananda tradition). 

Our philosophy is based in the techings of Tibetan buddhism, Kashmir Shaivism (traditional Tantra Yoga) and the last researchs regarding neuroscience. 

Pablo Ferrero is the Director and founder of Matrika Yoga School. In the practice of Yoga since the age of 16 years old. He is an official Iyengar Yoga teacher trained in India and South of France with some of the most renowned teachers such as: Christian Pisano and June Whittaker, Amit Raina and Lina Ma, Rajiv and Swati Chanchani, Usha Devi. He has also attended to the RIMYI (Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India) at classes with Prashant Iyengar and Abhijata Iyengar. He has also a Diploma in Yogic Studies by the University of Pune and Yoga Vidya Gurukul in the Satyananda tradition. Diploma in Osteopathy and pediatric Osteopathy. Student of Ayurveda and othe natural therapies. Posgraduate in Coaching and Leadership and Bachelors Degree in Journalism. 

Pablo Ferrero has lived extensively in India, Peru and other countries of Asia and Latin America. Back in the days he used to be an adventure travel guide. Actually, he guides trips to India once a year.
