The word Yoga has been taken from Sanskrit root word “ YUJ” which means “union” or “bringing together. Nisarga means nature. So, Yoga Nisarga means union with nature. As we are surrounded by the nature around us, similarly we are also supported by the nature from inside. By reading or knowing the word ‘Yoga Nisarga’ we remind ourselves to always stay together with nature inside and outside.

Yoga Nisarga was founded by Swami Chaitanya Hari in 2007. Chaitanya was introduced to Yoga and meditation practices since he was six years old by his elder brother Yogi Abhay. Later on, he started exploring various Yoga and Meditation. Following his heart he started traveling India and Nepal, visiting sacred places and learning different styles of Yoga. During this time he gained proficiency in Hatha and Shivananda Yoga, and today he holds Yoga Alliance Teacher certificates of these styles. In 2011 Chaitanya Hari started attending Mysore style Ashtanga Yoga classes by Rolf and Marci in Anjuna, Goa. Rolf was certified to teach by Guruji Sri K. Pattabhi Jois himself in 1996. So, Chaitanya’s’ lineage is going back to Sri Pattabhi Jois and Sri T. Krishnamacharya who is considered to be a founder of modern Ashtanga Yoga style. His meditation practice became well-established and profound thanks to dedication and studies in various ashrams and meditation centers. But he never stops learning and up until today attends silent retreats and meditation programs. He spends a lot of time in Osho Ashrams deepening his meditation practice. His daily favorite yoga style to practice is Ashtanga Primary series.  Ashtanga Yoga is a moving meditation, and that is how Chaitanya teaches it. He firmly believes that the foremost aim of Yoga is to harmonize the body, mind, and the Soul.

Feeling the urge to share his knowledge he founded Yoga Nisarga in 2007. In two years the school became the top-most Yoga center on Trip Advisor. And nothing can tell more about classes than grateful students. The purpose of Yoga Nisarga is to guide students on a spiritual path to healthier and happier life, to teach them how to stay connected to their real selves in the hectic realities of modern world, to help establish Yoga practice that suits their lifestyle and to explain that Yoga is not a destination but a beautiful journey full of wonderful discoveries. We teach traditional Yoga as it was described in Yoga Sutras of Patanjali but with a deep understanding of the changes that have taken place over the thousands of years since the sacred text was written.

Yoga Nisarga in 2015 moved to a beautiful and serine Ashvem beach in North Goa. Today the school runs its courses and classes in North 39 Resort, famous among the Goan Yoga community for its scenic beach location, peaceful and nourishing environment, dedicated and friendly staff and the variety of courses for spiritual seekers. Yoga Nisarga specializes in Ashtanga, and if taking asana classes inspires you to explore other limbs of Yoga but you don’t feel that teaching is your calling or you don’t have time to take 200-Hours Teacher Training, in Yoga Nisarga  you will surely find a course to help you discover various meditation practices or workshops to deepen your understanding of the tradition. Yoga Nisarga is a registered yoga school with Yoga Alliance USA and offers 200-Hours Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training, Yoga Detox Program, Anti Stress Training,  7 Days Yoga Meditation Vacations and daily Ashtanga Yoga drop-in classes. Our friendly and pleasant atmosphere will make you welcoming and a part of Yog Nisarga!

Residential Courses’ students are accommodated in environment-friendly natural huts right on the beach. Delicious Indian vegetarian meals are prepared especially for course-participants by a top chef according to Ayurvedic diet recommendations. Practical and theoretical classes are held in spacious halls and taught by experienced professionals. Chaitanya is very meticulous when it comes to choosing his residential teachers. He makes sure that each member of Yoga Nisarga Team does not only have sufficient qualification but also is dedicated to Yogic lifestyle, observes ethic norms, inspired to teach and is eager to give the students the best in every class. At Yoga Nisarga there a mix of Indian and western teachers to teach in 200 hours Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training also expert guest teachers are invited to teach special subjects. Yoga Nisarga takes certification seriously and is wholeheartedly dedicated to sending home graduates who represent the spirit of Yoga. New Yoga teachers are encouraged to study Ashtanga Yoga in a traditional way, establishing a personal practice based on studying and contemplating on Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and other philosophy scriptures.

Yoga Nisarga values the time, emotional, spiritual, physical and mental investment our students make to attend the training above all. That is why we do our best to make the studying process fun and enjoyable. Despite his rich spiritual and teaching experience Chaitanya Hari is young and playful. His teachings are infused with great joy, enthusiasm, humor this approach takes pressure and stress away from students. Our top priority is that each and every day of the Course each and every student gains new knowledge, practical skills, an inspiration to teach, an eagerness to learn more and beautiful memories. By graduating Yoga Nisarga Teacher Training Program, students are awarded certificates that entitle them to teach all around the world. Yoga Nisarga holds the responsibility that all graduates are ready to live up to an honorable seat of a Yoga teacher.

Namaste!

I feel lucky to have trained at Yoga Nisarga, Goa. This was my first yoga teacher training programme. I had not been practicing yoga for a very long time but I never felt out of my depth. Teachers at Yoga Nisarga were inclusive and encouraging. I really valued the amount of time dedicated to philosophy which inspired me to study this in further depth. I was lucky to have a small class of 6 which made classes feel very personal. While all teachers were wonderful, I would particularly like to highlight Ankit Pandey as a fantastic teacher with great patience and understanding for each and every student's physical and spiritual circumstances always keen to answer questions in and out of the classroom. I must also highlight that Sita's cooking and hospitality was truly special – she made us all feel like part of the family. I would recommend Yoga Nisarga Goa again.

I don’t know where to even start with the experience I so gratefully had at Yoga Nisarga. I flew in from the US to learn yoga at its birth place and I never knew how much I was missing in my own practice. An the importance of how to do yoga to have a the full body and spirit experience. Everyone at Yoga Nisarga was absolutely amazing and the humble attitude was contagious, it still lingers with me in my everyday routines. But the learning of myself was even more than I could ever ask for. I learned a lot during this short time and will pass along to my students. Yoga Nisarga is a wonderful and beautiful school it is not in the city which is perfect. I was able to focus, enjoy nature and be friendly with the locals. The large majority of people speak English, which was greatly appreciated. One thing I wish I had brought was my mat they say objects can carry energy and I wish I could have had some for my practice once I was home. Thank you Yoga Nisarga and especially Mr. Hari for teaching me the wonderful path of a yogi 💚💚

Overall, I had an excellent experience with Yoga Nisarga and I really appreciate all of Yoga Nisarga’s help and guidance. My only constructive criticism is that I think that sometimes, a less traditional instructional method would help. Chalk and talk is all very well but I think a lot of the work could be completed via an online course before or during the program. I wasn’t keen on the area of Thailand but that had nothing to do with Yoga Nisarga. I loved the level of detail that went into the training, I loved the extra things we did- Acro beach yoga, hiking to the Buddha and going out for dinner together. I really thank Hari for all his help and wish Yoga Nisarga all the best for the future. Namasté.

Chaitanya Hari was present for the 1 hour ceremony at the beginning of the program and for 2 hours at the end of the training to hand us our certification and take photos with the students. The only “teaching” he did was a small meditation and encouraging word at the puja ceremony to end the program. He left for Egypt to be present with a training there instead. I feel incredibly fooled and scammed by this program. For one, the school location had changed from the YouTube video and was never at the Riva Beach Resort like it states. Second, Hari told me that, “he was going out and would see me later” the night he left for Egypt to be apart of a training there. He never said that he was not going to be present for my teacher training even though he had the chance to be honest and let us know that he was leaving. If I would have known this I would have left and found another school. The reason I chose this school was to study under someone who on their website seemed to have deep training and knowledge of yoga. For these reasons I would never suggest anyone to attend this training due to the conscious dishonesty of the lead trainer, Hari. The syllabus states that we had “6 hours of yoga business” this is not true, we had one class of yoga business and it was for an hour and a half. “ 3 hours of yoga for kids and 3 hours of prenatal yoga” this is also not true, we had again, an hour and a half session of each these subjects. The syllabus also states that we learned “5 hours of Bhagwatgeeta” I don’t believe I ever had a class where any of the teachers mentioned this. I actually had to look it up to know what it was. I would highly recommend reviewing this school and the authenticity of the people who run this place. The small amount I learned about yoga at this 200 hour training I know that this school does not follow the yamas of yoga. Dear Danielle, Thanks for giving the feedback. We don’t appreciate your effort in misleading our authentic followers. Let us tell you things clearly which you wrongly posted: Chaitanya Hari and along with him his best teachers are there as a team to handle the training. It’s already mentioned that teachers and schedule are subject to change. Even though he left for another training but the training was successful completed with best of the teachers. About the location: yes we were conducting training initially at the mentioned location and after shifting to new best location we do updated in website and other social media’s which you didn’t checked. About the teaching hours we are into this Yoga field from past 10 years and we do follow strictly Yoga alliance rules and regulations. And we know how much hours we need to give for each and every subject to make students understand. Criticising is easy but accepting is difficult. Before you say things about our school and other things wrongly, you should also think how did you behaved here and what all the things you did here and how many times our teachers gave you counselling which was not a part of your training. Anyways we don’t want to say anything negative about any of our student because we consider them as our family and we wish them best of luck. To you also wish you best of luck and may god showers you with good mental and physical health. Yoga Nisarga Familly
