About This Workshop

Join Sreedevi Bringi for a guided exploration of texts from The Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Sreedevi will share her interpretations of these classic yoga texts by comparing and contrasting their key lessons. The workshop will include chanting of verses in the sacred Indian tradition, storytelling to bring the wisdom to life, and suggestions on how to apply key concepts to yoga teaching and daily life.

About the Presenter

Sreedevi Bringi, MSc, MS, MA, is a native of South India where she received formal training in yoga, meditation, Sanskrit, and Hindu religious and spiritual traditions. She draws on the Goddess traditions of India for her own spiritual practice, finding inspiration in India’s contemporary women saints. A recently-retired long-term Faculty in Yoga Studies and Hinduism at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, Sreedevi currently teaches courses, workshops, and retreats on raja yoga meditations, Vedanta, Sanskrit, yoga philosophy, Goddess traditions, and various Indian sacred texts. With graduate degrees in chemistry, atmospheric sciences, and environmental education she is keen to integrate modern quantum holist perspectives into ancient Vedanta-yoga-tantra teachings.
