About This Event

The Men Care Now Yoga Methodology is a unique, empathetic “risk-aware” methodology for the body and mind. It is primarily a Vinyasa methodology, though it also has deep ties to other lineages like Iyengar. This event offers a pace-focused Vinyasa flow allowing for time in each pose while guiding participants to remain connected to the breath. It also utilizes compassionate language and cueing with a risk-aware lens. Additional attention is placed on optionality and accessibility while incorporating props. Provided modifications help attendees to learn, self-reflect, and choose which aspects complement their path, needs, and wishes for their yoga practice and teaching style.

About the Presenters

Jeremy Totino was born and raised in Long Island, NY. Yoga has been a part of his life since his early teens. After being exposed to it by watching his mom practice periodically, he simply started stretching to increase flexibility, though it quickly became something more meaningful. As Jeremy began to deepen this practice and developed his own spirituality, he began integrating yoga into his self-care rituals and applying the practice as a remedy for anxiety. His passion for mind-body practices grew. In 2015, Jeremy received a license to practice massage therapy in NY after completing a 15-month program at the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage. In 2021, he received his 200-hour RYT after completing the Men Care Now program over the summer of 2020. Jeremy's goal is to empower and assist students in connecting to their bodies, developing more self-awareness, and growing in compassion towards themselves and others both on and off the mat.

Kazemde “Kaz” Masud (he/him/his) was raised in the Los Angeles spiritual community and was drawn at an early age to the role of Spiritual Advisor in Hollywood. With nearly twenty-five years of experience in the entertainment industry—participating in almost every facet of film and television, and co-founding a renowned music festival—he currently shares his experience as a talent manager, coach, and spiritual advisor. Becoming a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) through Men Care Now further allows him to provide his clients with a unique offering in the current mentor landscape. In January 2021, he began serving as Compassionate Community Officer (CCO) at Men Care Now. Follow him on Instagram: @broccityyogi
