Jana Long (E-RYT 500, YACEP, C-IAYT) joins Yoga Alliance’s Vice President of Cross-Cultural Advancement Maya Breuer (E-RYT 500, YACEP) in this online gathering to bring yoga schools, teachers, and students together during this time of social distancing.


About the Presenter

Jana Long (E-RYT 500, YACEP, C-IAYT) is the Director of Power of One Yoga Center in Baltimore, MD. She is a certified yoga teacher and therapist, Ayurvedic lifestyle consultant, meditation facilitator, and spiritual life coach. She is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Black Yoga Teachers Alliance, Inc. Jana earned her 200-hour teacher certification at the Yama School for Yoga, Ayurveda & the Meditative Arts in Baltimore, MD, and completed the level one certification course in Food, Breath, Sound and Ayurvedic Nutrition from the Wise Earth School of Ayurveda in Candler, NC. Her 300-hour professional level yoga teacher certification was awarded by the Kripalu School for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA. Jana trained and was certified in the therapeutic application of yoga for seniors by Duke Integrative Medicine in Durham, NC. In 2015 Jana was invited to join the Global Peace Initiative of Women/Contemplative Alliance.
