Men Care Now: Layers of Compassion Series is a yoga conversation series which explores how unique compassion is for each individual and how powerful compassion is for a community.


About the Presenters

Adam Mota is a Dominican American raised in New York City. Since a young age, Adam has traveled, finding rhythm within drums, the beach, cooking in the kitchen, Jiu-Jitsu, and yoga. The universe presents and has blessed Adam with so many outstanding experiences and great human interactions. Adam wants to be the bridge that connects the youth and elderly to a world he never knew. R.I.C.H.E.R arts will provide yoga instruction, self-defense courses, drumming, introduction to nature, and healing. Reggie Hubbard (RYT 500) is the Founder/Chief Serving Officer of Active Peace Yoga, whose mission is to serve all communities, all practice levels, and lifestyles by helping people nurture foundational habits of self-care, rather than viewing wellness as an afterthought. Reggie has authored a thesis entitled, "Yoga and Spiritual Activism: Serving Humanity from a Sense of Devotion and Love" and has been a featured speaker on racial justice and civic engagement for the Hanuman Academy, Yoga Alliance, Upaya Zen Center and various other platforms. In addition to his yoga teaching practice, Reggie has held many senior strategic and logistical roles across a variety of fields, ranging from global marketing, digital and community organizing, government relations, international education to Presidential campaigning. He currently serves as a leading progressive political strategist, regularly interacting with elected officials on Capitol Hill and managing relationships, impact and communications among the broader progressive movement. Reggie's dharma sits at the intersection of bringing more peace and balance to activists AND to guiding the wellness community toward being more engaged, concerned citizens. He is open to collaborate with anyone on teacher trainings on issues of social justice and inclusion as well as speaking to communities to facilitate these challenging, important conversations.

Ashton Antoine (RYT 200) is a competitive cyclist and runner who believes everyone can achieve optimal health and wellness in a safe, effective and sustainable way. Ashton loves life and brings his optimistic approach to every training program and client relationship. Specializing in athletic performances, strength, and conditioning, with a focus on running and cycling, Ashton emphasizes the mind-body connection for active, healthy lifestyles. Yoga has allowed him to deepen the connection between mind nd body and has enhanced self-love and compassion. When teaching, he encourages his students to create their own daily practice. Ashton is a certified functional strength (CFSC), precision nutrition (PN1), and pre/postnatal coach.
