About This Workshop

This workshop presented by Tokyo-based YogaJaya covers the dos and don’ts of educating yoga teachers online. Presenters highlight how online learning can substantially support different students' needs and how technology is opening new doors to embrace the current global shift into the virtual space.


About the Presenters

Patrick Oancia (E-RYT 500, YACEP) is the Founder of Baseworks and YogaJaya studio. For over 40 years, he has immersed himself in athletics, the study of exercise physiology, hatha yoga, and martial arts while refining more-subtle contemplative practices.

Satoko Horie (E-RYT 500, YACEP) is a certified Baseworks teacher and Director at YogaJaya. Satoko facilitates Teacher Trainings and organizes programming that integrates yoga and the expressive arts. She is also a communication portal via interpretation, translation, interviewing, and writing.

Asia Shcherbakova Ph.D., (E-RYT 200, RYT 500, YACEP) is a certified Baseworks teacher and research associate. She also holds a Master of Science in Human Genetics and a doctorate in Biotechnology. Asia has researched the effect of stress on DNA, learning, and inflammation, and has a current focus on mechanisms underlying brain health and disorders and regaining good health.
