About This Event

Learn how to foster creating a healthy and compassionate approach to life. In this workshop, Dee Marie, founder of Calming Kids, teaches simple chair yoga movements and poses, youth-appropriate breathing practices to regulate the brain, relaxation skills to calm the nervous system, and compassionate concentration for social emotional learning.


About the Presenter

Dee Marie, MA, CYT, has a master’s degree in Child and Motor Development and has been a clinical yoga therapist for 35 years, working with all ages and abilities. Dee is the creator and director of CALMING KIDS (CK): Creating a Non-Violent World. This non-profit organization began in 2004 after four years of research with the Harvard School of Public Health. For 17 years, CK has been offering evidence-based training programs for children, teens, teachers, health providers, yoga professionals, and parents to learn valuable calming skills for everybody!
