About This Workshop

This is an interactive discussion on the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act—the $2 trillion federal stimulus package that provides financial support for businesses and individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic. This workshop outlines the CARES Act relief measures for all Americans, including a tax rebate, expanded unemployment insurance, student debt relief, and protections for renters, among other topics.


About the Presenters

Craig Saperstein lobbies on behalf of corporate, nonprofit, foreign sovereign, and public sector clients in Congress, the Executive Branch, and state and local governments. Craig represents clients on a variety of policy issues, including financial services, cybersecurity, international trade, veterans, energy, economic development, transportation, and health care matters.

Nicole Steinberg advises clients on complex regulatory matters in consumer finance, nonprofit organizations, and public policy. She also counsels clients on regulatory issues, including consumer banking, advertising, and the SAFETY Act, and assists with nonprofit mergers and the public policy interests of professional certification organizations. She also worked for the Office of the Legislative Counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives, where she provided legislative drafting services to House committees and members.
