About This Event

The final event of the Scientific Research on Yoga in Schools series features a panel discussion facilitated by wellness expert Kim Weeks. Guests will touch on yoga's practical applications in schools and answer the most pressing questions that arose from Parts 1 and 2 of this enlightening series.


About the Presenters

Kim Weeks (RYS 200, RYS 500, E-RYT 500, CEP) is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and wellness expert. She is also the founder of a wellness consulting and education company called Weeks Well, whose mission is to foster transformation in work and life.

Marlene Boyette, founder of Boston based Leela Yoga & Wellness and co-founder of Peace In Boston, is a E-RYT 300 Trauma-Informed instructor, educator (teaching yoga and meditation full time at The Advent School in Boston’s Beacon Hill), facilitator, and community advocate. She is dedicated to using yoga as a catalyst for nurturing and celebrating each person that she comes in contact with while teaching.

Janna Delgado is a trusted leader in the fields of yoga, mindfulness, Ayurveda, and stress resilience. She is certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists and the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. A seasoned facilitator with more than 20 years’ experience and a 1000-hour Kripalu Yoga Teaching credential, Janna serves as a Lead Faculty member and Trainer at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA.

Anne Desmond has been practicing yoga since 1995 and is co-creator of Bent On Learning’s curriculum and training for middle and high school students. After many years of teaching yoga to hundreds of teens in the classroom, she currently serves as Executive Director, oversees all aspects of the organization, and ensures excellence in its operations and program. Anne received a Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University and, prior to Bent On Learning, worked in technology as a business analyst, project manager, and web and database developer.
